Several weeks ago the fleet of private jets assembled in Monterey, California for the ATT National Pro-Am was overwhelming reaching proportions of pre-crisis occupancy levels. The fleet of G-5's, Citations, and other private aircraft of the Captains of Industry who annually participate at Pebble Beach blowout - from Charles Schwab to Scott McNealy - is always impressive even to Fortune readers; however, professional golfers are getting in the mix for landing rights and parking slots with the CEO's.

At Dove Mountain for the Match Play, the world's top 64 players were qualified to play. Amazing the number of executive jets on the tarmac with no CEO's teeing it up. Sure, Accenture had their top level corporate guests.

Defending Champion Ian James Poulter first out on Wednesday,  lost on the 19th hole, was home in Florida tweeting buddies still on the course as was Francesco Molinari in London and others. Graeme MacDowell loaned a ride back to Florida in his plane to Rickie Fowler following their joint defeats.

By Friday evening Marana airport appeared desolate. Yet the quarters, semis, and final matches of the $1,400,000 WCG-Accenture Match Play hadn't even put a tee in the ground. Up, up, and away safely to all those returning pro's and birdies to those remaining to do battle and hopefully win before the snow falls.
